Sea Lancers Diving Club
What We Do
We are the oldest scuba diving club in the Department of Defense and in Hawaii. Founded in 1956 to promote the then relatively new sport of scuba diving and make it affordable to all ranks, the club has been home to thousands of divers for over six decades.
Today, we partner with Ocean Defenders Alliance (ODA) to perform underwater cleanups and help recycle the trash. Last year we recycled 1,000 pounds of lead weights, and this year we will triple that amount. We also recycle all the fishing line we remove. In 2022, alongside ODA, we removed 23,000 pounds of trash from He’ eia Kea Boat Harbor, including 300 tires.
We also partner with the Veterans Administration and LifeWaters to take disabled veterans scuba diving through the VAs Recreational Therapy program. Since Sea Lancers Diving Club is made up of veterans and those associated with the military, we are proud to be the sole organization to take care of disabled vets.
Membership is open to certified divers who have base access. Members are trained to fill their own tanks and enjoy 24/7 access to our air fill stations. We also have regular club dives and dinners at the club with guest speakers.
Who We Are
We are a scuba diving club on JBPHH. Membership is open to anyone who has base access and is a certified diver.
