Painted Trees of Hawaii

What We Do

We are a 509 (A)(2) Educational Nonprofit Foundation.

Our main mission is to help create awareness of the Eucalyptus Deglupta trees in Hawaii.

Through seminars, schools and community events we give a better understanding about these trees and their place on Earth.

We also have locations around the island of Hawaii where we offer guided tours.

For the past seven years we have worked with the 3rd Circuit Court on the island of Hawaii.

They send us community service workers to help with trail maintenance and other light work.

We host volunteer events through other corporations in Hawaii.

We hosted a Hawaii Week event 2020 March. It was a great success.

We keep striving everyday to leave a legacy for all the beauty Hawaii has to offer.

Who We Are

The Painted Trees of Hawaii nonprofit was created by our CEO-President, Kelly Dunn.

The Articles of Incorporation were approved by the United States Treasury Department on 2015, March 7th.

He noticed years ago that the Eucalyptus Deglupta trees were disappearing on the Island of Hawaii.

Our nonprofit began small and grew to its current size.

Currently we have eight board members, along with Kelly Dunn as CEO and President.

The board of directors meets once each month to discuss current and future projects.

Our office is located in Hilo, Hawaii.

For the past seven years the State of Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs has issued Painted Trees of Hawaii a CERTIFICATE OF GOOD STANDING.

In part the letter states, “”as far as the records of this Department reveal, has complied with all of the provisions of the Hawaii Nonprofit Corporation Act…”

This letter states that we are current with all filings and there are no liens on our organization.

Being a nonprofit is a lot of work but the rewards are enormous.
