What We Do

Hawaii Eco Divers is a dive company focused on ocean safety and education. Our job is to instill a spiritual watermen’s philosophy and guidance to everyone who comes our way. We hope that after experiencing diving and training with us, you will feel a stronger connection to the ocean and yourself.

Our services include PADI training and certifications , guided dive tours, apnea & surf survival courses, emergency first responder & CPR certifications, surf coaching and ecotours. Our tours take place all around Oahu, with North Shore, South Shore (Waikiki, Honolulu) and West Side spots.

Scuba dive tours with Hawaii Eco Divers are environmentally friendly, educational, and interactive with Hawaiian marine life!

Who We Are

Hawaii Eco Divers was founded by Ricardo Taveira. Ricardo Taveira is a big wave surfer, PADI Scuba Instructor, and Apnea & Surf Survival instructor. Born on Brazil’s coast, Ricardo grew up surfing and with a deep connection with the ocean.

For more than 20 years he has surfed the best waves in the world. His passion with the water deepended after a scuba dive experience in the Philippines. After moving to Hawaii and becoming a Scuba Instructor, in 2011, he opened Hawaii Eco Divers with the goal of spreading his knowledge, connection, and love for the ocean. Currently, he is focused on the worldwide promotion of ocean safety through the Apnea & Surf Survival Course.
