Bottles4College
What We Do
Bottles4College collects recyclable cans and bottles to help fund college tuition for Hawaii kids. Spearheaded by 14-year-old Hawaii kid, Genshu Price. The 4 pillars of belief of Bottles4College are Education, Environment, Community, and Lifestyle. Our first goal is to create a system to annually collect 2-4 million cans and bottles to fund 1-2 selected Hawaii students each year for a 4 year college. We aim for this program to be available at communities across the island and be a source that Hawaii families can count on to participate in helping the environment and educational opportunities for Hawaii kids for generations to come.
Who We Are
There are many ways you can be a part of Bottles4College! Help from the community is a necessity for Bottles4College. -Collect recyclable cans + bottles -Volunteers to help spread the word of Bottles4College (Share and let everyone know to save their recyclables cans and bottles) -Volunteers for pick ups / collections in your area-Recycling (sorting) and depositing to a recycling center-Participate in Bottles4College events as volunteers such as our collection events, sorting recyclables, and clean-up eventsPlease email through our website or message through social media for any questions. We are also in need of help setting up more recyclable cans & bottles collection depots across the island of Oahu.We are currently looking for a sponsorship / donation for a lightweight box truck that can be driven with a regular driver’s license. This will allow us to set up a larger depot and conduct more events. For schools, we would need more bins and pods/containers to securely store recyclables. Please email us for any possibilities. Mahalo!
