Big Island Sailing Foundation

What We Do

Founded in 2002, Big Island Sailing Foundation has helped promote youth sailing in Kona, Hawaii. We have twelve sailing dinghies along with a motorized safety boat. Our fleet consists of six Topper class boats, along with a few performance dinghies consisting of 12-18 ft Lasers type dinghies and 20-22 ft Keelboats.

Who We Are

Adults who like teaching youngsters, and assist with on land activities or on the water.    Sailors, particularly those who have dinghy sailing experience or hold Hawaii Safe Boating certificate and are comfortably driving a 13 ft Boston Whaler safety/coach boat.

Cooks & food organizer for our Nov 4th, 2023 fundraiser and semiannual events.
