Volunteer with Kauai Habitat for Humanity
Kauai Habitat for Humanity
Volunteers are an integral component of our work. On Kaua‘i, volunteers have helped build over 220 affordable homes and repaired over 35 substandard homes. Volunteer labor, along with donated materials and private contributions, enables Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity to keep costs low and continue building homes that are truly affordable for needy families.
Please join us to make the dream of homeownership a reality for deserving individuals and families on Kaua‘i. Volunteer opportunities take place on and off the construction site and are available for individuals, corporate groups, faith groups, youth groups, and community groups.

About the organizer
Our primary program is the New Home Construction Program. Homebuyers in the program must meet all Kaua‘i Habitat guidelines.
Under the New Home Construction Program, interested homebuyers have two options. One option is to purchase a house and lot in the ‘Ele‘ele Iluna subdivision or the Waimea Huakai subdivision. The second option involves building a Habitat house on a lot that is already owned by the homeowner (leasehold land or fee simple).
Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity also operates ReStore®, which sells new and used discounted building and construction materials, home improvement items, gently used furniture, appliances, and household goods to raise money for the affiliate. Proceeds from ReStore® support Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build safe, decent, and affordable housing.
