UH Mānoa Earth Day Waste Study
University of Hawai‘i Office of Sustainability
The University of Hawai‘i Office of Sustainability (UHO) is hosting a Waste Composition Study event during the Friday, April 21st UH Mānoa Earth Day Fair. UHOS will be working with the UHM community to sort, categorize, and weigh waste from the campus to gather baseline waste composition data. The waste composition data will inform a robust zero waste program at the UH Mānoa campus. This event is one the first step to creating a zero waste future for the University!

The University of Hawai’i Office of Sustainability (UHOS) functions as a backbone organization to enhance existing sustainability work across all UH campuses, and to provide coordination capacity for campuses to share resources with each other to accelerate action to strengthen the environmental, social, cultural, and economic health of our islands’ communities.
