Pearl Harbor Bike Path Clean Up

Eco Rotary Club of Kaka’ako & Smart Living Hawaii

Join our collaborative cleanup along the 5 mile Pearl Harbor Bike Path and beyond. The City & County of Honolulu, Navy & Military Personnel, several Rotary Clubs, numerous nonprofits and caring businesses join forces twice a year to help keep the path clean and cleared for our community. This is one of the largest cleanups island wide with anywhere from 5-12 tons of burnable trash, car removals when possible, homeless aid to the surrounding community prior to the cleanups, HPD safety/support before and during our cleanups and beautification/restoration. The efforts are needed, much of this trash sits along the Pearl Harbor waterfront and ends up in the ocean. The more activation and restoration we can create on this path the cleaner and safer it will be for our community. It’s a beautiful community path that runs along the Pearl Harbor Bay and is the longest stretch of a bike path made for pedestrians and bicycles off the streets. It also runs along the rail line and will be a great aid for those choosing to bike to the rail from their homes. It’s also projected to connect to Kapolei and on to Nanakuli! Last but not least, this path runs along the historic Pearl Harbor and all it’s landmarks, in addition to the local streams, natural freshwater springs, Ahupua’a’s and home to native plants and animals.

The city will also have a waiver the day of to sign as well, if there are any minors planning on joining us (12-17 yrs old preferred), they do need to have their parent/guardians fill out the waiver ahead of time. We will send the city’s waiver to registrants but everyone can sign it upon arrival if they wish and the parent/guardian is present.
