Join us for a south shore coastal cleanup, both rocky and sandy terrain. May involve heavy lifting. Wear closed toed shoes. Waiver required.
Purpose
Remove plastic pollution and other marine debris hazards from coastline wildlife habitat.
Role
Using provided sacks, collect debris for proper disposal.

About the organizer
The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches. Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers in Malibu, California, the Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 50,000 members and 90 chapters worldwide.The Kauaʻi Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation was founded in August 2006 by a small group of Kauaʻi’s active surfers who joined the national organization with its focus on CARE: Conservation, Activism, Research, and Education. We have an appetite for adventure and we all share a common passion – we love and appreciate our ocean, waves and beaches. We are an organization of committed volunteers.
