Magic Island Marine Debris Cleanup

Kalihi Beer

This is our first ever collaborative marine debris cleanup! Our team includes Kalihi Beer, Trees to Seas, Hawaiian Diving Adventures and Sea Grant all working together as part of a celebration of the Peter J. Rappa Fellowship which is funded through NOAA Sea Grant at the University of Hawai’i.

From 8 AM to 11 AM we will be collecting marine debris from the Magic Island and Ala Moana Beach area. Please on the beach just past the resstrooms with a hat, sunscreen, plenty of water, and a willingness to work hard to preserve our beautiful ocean. Everything else will be provided!

For those interested, we will return to Kalihi Beer immediately following the cleanup to sort, weigh, and pack the trash up for recycling and upcycling. Looking forward to seeing you there!
