Kahaluu Beach Park Clean Up

The Kahalu’u Beach Park located in Kailua Beach Park is a Kona staple and honors
significant native Hawaiian sacred cultural sites and boasts a fish population and coral reef
restoration efforts. As a backdrop to the Kona community, Kahalu’u has been such a big part of
life to so many families and we want to celebrate Kahalu’u by performing a beach clean-up on
April 22, 2023 to begin at 9 am.
We invite you and anyone you may know, including your own ‘ohana who would like to
participate in keeping our community safe and clean for all to enjoy!
Recommended Items for Volunteers to Bring:
- Closed toe shoes
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Reef safe sunscreen
- Gloves
- Snacks
- Water
- Bug Spray
Items that will be provided:
- First Aid Kit
- Trash Bags
- Gloves
- hand sanitizer
- water jugs
