Friends of Liliʻuokalani Gardens

Friends of Lili`uokalani Gardens are cooperating with three Rotary Clubs in east Hawaii to toss genki balls into Waihonu at seven test sites for bioremediation of the traditional fish pond. This is similar to the Genki Ala Wai project in Honolulu. On Earth Day, more genki balls will be manufactured at Kua O Ka La charter school located to the mauka end of the Nani Mau Gardens parking lot on Makalika Street in Panaewa. Later in the afternoon, balls curing since March will be brought to the gardens and tossed into the pond. Gardening attire suggested

Friends of Liliʻuokalani Gardens, organized in 2012, helps preserve and improve this 20+ acre Japanese style park by 1) maintenance and cleanup efforts 2) raising funds for capital improvements, and 3) helping to plan community events.
