Volunteers Needed

BE PART OF THE SOLUTION TO RESTORE THE WATERS OF THE ALA WAI CANAL.

We need your help to make Genki balls!

Waikiki Community Center (WCC) and Kapiolani Community College Service and Sustainability Learning Students support Genki Ala Wai to restore the waters of the Ala Wai Canal.

Genki Ala Wai’s mission is to make the Ala Wai Canal fishable and swimmable within seven years through bioremediation technology.

As the Ala Wai is a part of our neighborhood, WCC kupuna, members, KCC students and CERENE Resilience Project will join efforts to create a more sustainable Waikiki.

12:30 PM Meet at WCC and we will walk to the Ala Wai together

The mission of the Waikiki Community Center is to serve Keiki, Kupuna, and the Community by providing pre-school programs for keiki; educational and active aging activities and resources for kupuna; social services referral programs for kupuna in need; and community engagement projects for the residents in the ahupua’a of Waikiki.
