Facilities Assistance (Ongoing)
To maintain our mission and provide a welcoming and functional space to our community members and staff, we consistently work to keep our facilities and campus clean and safe.
We welcome volunteers to assist us on Wednesdays on an ongoing basis.
What should volunteers know about the location?
We are community center facility next to the Kahalu’u Regional Park. We do offer onsite parking (if it is full, street parking or spaces at the park may be used). Our campus consists of both indoor and outdoor facilities including yard space, garden, pavilion, classrooms, and offices.
Our administrative office is located at the front of the building (entrance door faces makai/Creature Coffee).
What will volunteers do?
We are asking for assistance with tasks such as:
- Yard work (cut grass, weed whack, pull dead foliage, tree trimming, etc.)
- Garden maintenance (pull fruit/vegetables, clear weeds, water lines, cut grass, soil turning, etc.)
- Classroom cleaning (wipe down surfaces, clean windows, mop, etc.)
- Pavilion cleaning (large window cleaning, clean surfaces, etc.)
- Bathroom cleaning/maintenance (deep cleaning of facilities, light repairs, etc.)
- Basic repairs (painting, sanding, machinery cleaning, light builds, etc)
Please let us know what your skill set is and what you’d be willing to help with ahead of time so we can delegate proper assignments.
