Delivery Volunteers
Our Kupuna
Want to hanai a kupuna?
We match each volunteer with a nearby low-income homebound kupuna who needs grocery shopping help.
We are looking for volunteers to sponsor one kūpuna in your community who doesn’t have family or reliable support on island to look out for them. As a sponsor, you would call them once a week to check on them, then shop for their essentials (groceries, household supplies, medication) every two weeks – (the kupuna would reimburse you for the cost of the items). We would love to hear from you! If you are interested, please visit our website to sign up: https://www.ourkupuna.com/volunteer.
As we are serving a vulnerable population, our volunteers must pass a background check and provide a copy of a valid driver’s license and current car insurance. *We welcome volunteers who speak different languages as we may have kūpuna who feel more comfortable speaking a non-english native language.
To learn more, please visit our website at ourkupuna.com or call us at 808-215-0073.
