Community Farming

Laulima Garden ‘Ohana

OIN US for a weekly ‘Ohana-building, gardening opportunity, every week!

Calling all plant enthusiasts, eco-warriors and community champions! Laulima Garden ‘Ohana welcomes you to join our weekly volunteer crew on Fridays!

Over five years, we’ve transformed our four-acre paradise from a humble kitchen garden to a thriving haven of over 60 edible fruits, veggies, and plants. Here, we grow not just food, but community spirit and sustainable living practices!

Laulima is proud to partner with

-the Maui Hub, sharing our harvest to nourish our neighbors and fuel our educational programs for keiki (children)!

-Rainbow Fish Foundation, as we seek to restore Lahaina’s ecosystem by re-homing young fruit-bearing saplings

and -Hungry Heroes Hawaii, helping to donate food when we can to the ongoing distribution efforts for our wildfire survivors!

Calling all farm fam and aspiring farmers alike!:
We’re looking for 2-12 volunteers, ready to get their hands dirty and hearts happy every Friday.
No prior experience needed! Learn SubTropic farming secrets, soil regeneration magic, and more.
Got knowledge to share? We celebrate diverse skills and perspectives!
Come for:
Fresh air, sunshine, and friendly faces.
The satisfaction of nurturing nature and building community.
Learning new skills and sharing old ones.
Witnessing the miracle of food from seed to plate.
Bonus: Contribute to delicious, healthy food for our community!

PLEASE Note: Our admin team is in the office Thursdays. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
Please let us know WHICH FRIDAY you’d like to volunteer with us. Mahalo Ke Akua!!!

Laulima Garden ‘Ohana

About the organizer

We educate children, families, and the community about sustainable food growth and regenerative soil practices. We help families develop a taste for foods that grow well in this climate, as opposed to the North American foods that are shipped in to Hawaii. We host workshops and activities to children and adults to learn how to grow, cook, and make healing products form locally grown plants. We provide locally grown subtropic foods to families in our community, to the Maui Hub, and at various farmer’s markets.
