2024 Rally Around Peace Event – Day Of

Teran James Young Foundation

Imua Family Service & Teran James Young Foundation (TJYF) present “Together For Peace”

The mission of Imua Family Services is to empower children to reach their full potential. The TJY Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit created by Genesis Young and Sulara James, incorporated in Hawaii in 2020 to benefit and serve the community.

Imua’s Butterfly Festival is a celebration of hope, transformation and peace for children and families.

In 2023, TJYF held the first ever Peace Rally just six weeks after the devastating Lahaina and Kula fires. The focus was to bring peace and healing to our community. There were 10 healers and 15 vendors, as well as three musicians, and was attended by almost 300 people. It was so rewarding to see the community come together to play, dance, receive healing and discuss strategies for creating peace in our community and around the world.

This year, TJYF and IMUA are joining forces to create the first ever Butterfly Festival and Peace Rally. The event will take place on Saturday, September 21st at Imua Discovery Garden in Wailuku. This event is a unique opportunity for businesses like yours to come together with the community to contribute towards the fostering of unity and harmony on the beautiful island of Maui and around the world. This will be a family-friendly event, featuring a combination of engaging activities including music performances, food, keiki activities, and dedicated healing spaces. Attendees will also have the chance to connect with resources that will contribute to peace within the community such as Non-Violent Communication, Restorative Justice, and Mediation.
