Maui Friends of the Library

What We Do
MFOL’s mission is to support the libraries of Maui County through volunteerism and fundraising. The Board operates three used bookstores on the island to help pay for new circulating materials and community programs in the libraries.
Who We Are
The Maui Friends of the Library is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization that serves the people of Maui County, primarily through support of our libraries.
With more than 100 vounteers, MFOL operates used book stores on Maui and provides a place for people to donate their used books, CDs, and DVDs. Shoppers can also purchase NEW Hawaiiana books, and NEW books by Maui authors. We provide a place where everyone on Maui can buy books and media at reasonable prices.
100% of our net receipts go directly to libraries, or back into our community.
As other bookstores have disappeared, our Maui Friends of the Library bookstores are more important than ever.
The Maui Friends of the Library seeks to share its love of books and reading with all of Maui. Stop by one of our three Maui bookstore locations in Kahului, Kihei, and Pu’unene.
