Malama 96744 Graffiti Paint-Out and Community Clean-Up


Community Works in 96744 (CWC 96744)

Community Works in 96744 (CWC 96744) is a community coalition that focuses on preventing underage drinking in Kaneohe/Windward Oahu.

One of the ways we do this is through our annual Malama 96744 Graffiti Paint-Out and Community Clean-Up.

Our next Malama 96744 will be on Saturday, November 16 , 2024 from 8 a.m. – 12 noon. The event will begin and end at the Kaneohe Skate Park (45-691 Keaahala Road).

All volunteers will need to complete and sign a Release from Liability Form to participate.

****Youth 17 and younger need to have a Release from Liability Form completed and signed by their parent/guardian AND be accompanied by an adult to participate.***

The maximum number of youth who can volunteer with an adult is four (4).

Online registration will close on Wednesday, November 13th at 12 noon.

Walk-in registration will start at 8 a.m. on the day of the event.

About the organizer

Community Works in 96744 is an underage drinking prevention coalition that collaborates with community members to keep our youth safe by saying ‘a’ole to alcohol.

  • CWC establishes & strengthens partnerships within our community. Partners include HPD -Kaneohe Division, Windward Mall, Honolulu City & County Parks & Rec.
  • We have monthly coalition meetings to keep our projects, programs & activities moving.
  • Our Youth Council members plan, coordinate & implement projects, activities & messaging to educate their peers on the dangers of underage drinking.
  • Our annual Malama 96744 Graffiti Paint-Out/Community Clean-Up brings together youth & adults to beautify, connect & have pride in our community, which are protective factor against underage drinking.
  • Each year we host a Virtual Art Contest that provides youth with an opportunity to create original counter advertising messages to educate their peers on the dangers of underage drinking.

All volunteers will need to complete a Release from Liability Form to particiate. The form will be emailed to volunteers after they have registered. Youth who are 17 years old or younger (i.e., HS Senior or younger) must be with an adult and will need to have a parent/guardian complete a Release from Liability Form in order to participate. The maximum number of youth allowed to volunteer with one (1) adult is four (4). We recommend that all volunteers wear: long pants covered shoes a hat/visor sunscreen
