Saturdays from 7am-5pm, might go later into the afternoons.
Helping Hands Hawaii hosts yearly events for programs such as Adopt A Family, Ready To Learn, and annual banquets. Along with participating in charity walks, these events are made to help provide funds for families and individuals who need financial support for rent and utilities, distribute gifts for the holidays, and to make sure keiki are able to receive school supplies before the school year.
Volunteers can assist with follow-up calls and providing on-site support during our events. You can meet new people while also utilizing your new skills, whether its from clerical to hands on experience!
Currently, we are looking for volunteers interested in getting involved with our summer program.
Help pack kits up with composition books and folder paper, crayons and pencils, and much, much more! With just a few hours of your time, you can change a child’s life!

About the organizer
It is the mission of Helping Hands Hawai‘i® to provide critical social services to improve people’s quality of life and empower them on their path to a better tomorrow.
For thousands of local families and individuals each year, Helping Hands Hawai‘i means the difference between hope and despair, between sickness and health, between stagnation and growth. For these families and individuals, Helping Hands Hawai‘i defines a new quality of life — a chance to overcome the obstacles that block the way to meeting their full potential. It is the mission of Helping Hands Hawai‘i to develop community self-sufficiency and resilience by providing guidance, household goods and opportunities for empowerment and connection.
Helping Hands Hawai‘i® was officially incorporated in 1974 and evolved from the establishment of the Honolulu Council of Social Agencies’ Volunteer Placement Bureau in 1941.
