Drop-In Volunteering:
-
Come on by when we are open, 11 a.m. -5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. -2 p.m. on Sunday! You can check in at the front office to sign a waiver and grab a nametag. We always need help with regular shelter duties like laundry and dishes! You can also look for our ‘drop-in’ volunteer stations throughout the shelter.
Dog Outings:
-
We encourage you to check out our Dog on Demand program! The focus is to provide outing opportunities for the dogs that need it the most to spend time out of the shelter.
Enrichment Prep:
-
You can prepare enrichment items to be handed out to our cats, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Most projects can be taken home to complete and brought back the next day, and many are kid and group-friendly! Sign up here.

Fly:
-
Help fly MHS dogs to our transfer partners on the continent via MHS’ Wings of Aloha: Alaska Angels program! The process is simple and free. All you need to do is email wingsofaloha@mauihumanesociety.org where you will be prompted to fill out your flight information. Should a scheduled animal transport match your itinerary, we will be in touch! At this time, flights must be with Alaska Airlines only and must be to the West Coast to be eligible.
