Volunteer Build Site Photographer
Honolulu Habitat for Humanity
We are searching for skilled photographers to capture a day on the build site with our Wahine Build volunteres! Opportunities every Friday and Saturday from April 28 – July 15. Help capture the faces, work & love being poured into a home build in Waimanalo. Some details below:
What we’re looking for:
– 30-50 edited photos per day (photos will be used/shared on social media, web & print collateral.
– If a volunteer is signing up for 2 or more build days, we can offer a $50 travel stipend per day.
– Photography style: bright, person-forward, authentic & optimistic. Photography style guide will be provided!
– Photos transferred to Habitat within 72-hours
– Credit/acknowledgment will be given to our photographers online, social media and email when we share the images
– T-shirt + lunch provided for volunteer on site
– Flexible on hours, but recommended that the photographer arrives between 9 and 10am; typically they stay for around 2 hours
– Site is on Puha Street in Waimanalo

Founded in 1988 as an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, Honolulu Habitat has served more than 450 individuals across Oahu through new home construction and critical home repairs. We rally thousands of volunteers every year to become part of the solution to Hawaii’s affordable housing crisis.
Home Build:
We partner with families on Oahu to achieve strength, stability and self-reliance through homeownership. Habitat homebuyers help build their homes alongside volunteers, participate in financial education classes, and pay an affordable mortgage.
Critical Home Repair:
We offer home repair services to homeowners so they can continue to live in safe, decent homes for years to come. By fixing the long-deferred maintenance projects, critical repairs and code violations, we help families stay in their existing homes and avoid displacement.
