Da Kauaʻi South Side Sweep Coastline & Underwater Cleanup (Archived)

Hoʻomalu Ke Kai
The plan is to meet up as a group at  Kukuiʻula Harbor at 10am to get organized, sign in, have some light  breakfast snacks, and pule (pray). Then teams will grab their necessary  cleanup gear and branch out to cover the heavily impacted marine debris  areas around the South side. The teams will then meet back at Kukuiʻula Harbor by 2pm to sort  and weigh the marine debris found and compare notes with teams cleaning  other spots around the area. The purpose of this sign up form is to get an idea of how many volunteers we can expect for the day (how many spots  we can coordinate to clean). If you and a group of friends/family would  like to make your own team to cover a spot not already listed below,  please let us know. The more the merrier when it  comes to cleaning up this approximately 7 miles of coastline of our  island! Although there can be some pretty awesome surprises found from cleaning up the coastline within itself, each  volunteer participant will also be entered into a free raffle for a  chance to score some awesome gear and swag from our collaborators and  partners. Spots currently on the list to clean: Kukuiʻula Harbor *Underwater + Coastline*, Koloa Landing (Hanakaʻape Bay) *Underwater + Coastline*, Shipwrecks (Keoneloa Bay) *Coastline*. We will have snacks and refreshments provided to all volunteer sign-ups at the end of the day.
